About
I run multiple channels. I also wasted months.
Grow Your Niche exists because I got tired of reading advice that sounded confident but didn’t match what I was seeing in my own analytics. I make content, test ideas, and share the slow truth.
The short version
I run multiple YouTube channels across different niches. Some grew steadily, some stalled, and a few only moved after months of testing. I track retention, CTR, and revenue with the same boring discipline every week. The data is the only reason I still know what’s working.
I’m not a guru. I don’t sell certainty. The lessons I share are the ones that survived reality in 2024–2026: slow timelines, occasional luck, and a lot of unglamorous iteration.
Who I am (and why the advice is grounded)
I’m Carl Tomich. The tone here is the same as my Carl Travels style: honest, no fluff, and no fake optimism. I run three monetized YouTube channels, each with a different job:
- Carl Tomich — 3.7k subscribers (monetized): my main “honest creator” channel and personal brand home.
- Globe Travel Adventures — 2.7k subscribers (monetized): my SEO evergreen travel engine with compounding traffic.
- Carl Tomich Tech Reviews — 1.4k subscribers (monetized): a fun gear/tools side project that still pays.
I deliberately rebranded my main output to be less travel-heavy because Globe Travel Adventures already covered travel SEO. Grow Your Niche is the written home for the honest lessons, not guru advice.
What I believe after doing this for years
- Most channels fail because distribution is brutal, not because creators are lazy.
- Strategy beats consistency when time is limited.
- Luck matters. Pretending it doesn’t is dishonest.
- Analytics are a map, not a promise.
The credibility part (without the hype)
I’ve shot documentaries, edited client work, and built channels that now pay real money. I also spent months obsessing over the wrong metrics. That mix is why I write this site the way I do: clear, skeptical, and rooted in numbers instead of vibes.
I share revenue as ranges, not flexes. I share screenshots when it adds context, and I show the misses so you can see what a plateau actually looks like.
If you want to see the channels behind the writing, here’s the list: Channels I run.
If you only want success stories, you’ll be disappointed here. If you want to understand the cost of growth, start with the Resources hub or the Mistakes section.
